So How Much Does A Demolition Really Cost?

Updated: May 30, 2023

Well, as one of the guys in the office likes to say, how long is a piece of string?

Unfortunately pricing demolition isn't as simple as most people think. However, I'm not about to keep you in suspense and beat around the bush - demolition can and does cost in the tens of thousands, sometimes more and this is due to a number of varying factors. For example, is your house double storey and made of solid brick or a single storey weatherboard residence? Is there any Asbestos on or in the house? Do you want the whole site cleared or just the house? Is the roof tin or tiled? Is your garage adjoining the neighbouring garage? The list goes on and on but I think you get the idea.

The key to getting the best possible price on your demolition project is to ensure the site is easily accessible so that an estimator can walk around unhindered in order to quote as accurately as possible. It would be even better if we have access inside the house. The devil is in the detail - the more detail we have, the more accurate the quote.

As you can see, it's no easy feat to quote a demolition, however you can rest easy knowing Melway Demolition will physically assess your site in order to give you the best possible price on your demolition project. Everything that is physically viewable will be taken into consideration including any requests you might have in regards to items you wish to retain (tree/s, front fence, garage, bungalow, cubby house, etc).

We are honest and up front and our customer service is unrivalled - trust me, I'm not tooting our own horn! Check out our reviews if you don't believe me 😉 - I've even linked it for easy reference. Get in touch today for your FREE no obligation demolition quote and let Melway take care of the rest! After all, we are the best.
